Plaster Portrait Masks

The 8th graders FINALLY finished their self portrait maks in plaster. You may remember the process they went through to actually create the mask from my earlier post. After they were dry, students used acrylic paint to decorate the masks with designs that represent some aspect of the individual artist or their personality, like this one created by a student who's favorite season is the fall or the one below it that has the fleur-de-lis and mardi gras beads since her favorite place is New Orleans:
This one has real peacock feathers attached to the top, but I wanted to show a close up of the painting:
