Undefeated!!!

Our Field Hockey season ended today with a victory against Notre Dame Prep, meaning the A-Team was UNDEFEATED this fall! I could not be prouder of this wonderful group of talented young athletes and all of their hard work and dedication!

We were happy to invite all of the 7th graders from the B-team to join us for our last game and also for this final photo!

Here are a few photos from our home game against Park School yesterday. Park has a small team of mixed grades (6-8), so we had to split our 45 (!!!!) girls from both the A and B teams into four teams to each play a quarter of the game... It was chaotic but really fun, and we came out with a win. We have two more games this week- Tomorrow (Wed) at NDP and Thursday at home again vs. Bryn Mawr. Come out and show your support!

Victory!

The beautiful, athletic, talented A-Team hockey players won their first game at home vs. Garrison Forest School yesterday afternoon, 2-1! It was a terrific start to the season and the ref commented that it was the "best middle school game she has ever officiated"- not too shabby!!! Our next game is this Friday at St. Paul's!

Yesterday's "Game"

Yesterday we had a game scheduled against Garrison Forest at home. It was our last home game of the season so, of course, it was pouring rain for half of the day. We tried to reschedule but Garrison said it was now or never, so we decided to have it despite the mud... About five minutes into the contest, the referee decided to call the game, saying our field was "illegal" to play on. Once she left, we scrimmaged them anyway just for fun. The girls didn't seem to mind the muddy field one bit, as you can see here:

First Hockey Game!!

Yesterday was our first field hockey game of the fall season at home against the Park School, and both the A and B teams were victorious! More importantly, we had a lot of fun! Here are some photos of the girls doing their dynamic warmup and shuttle drills before the game:
