Faculty/Staff Painting Class

This is the third year I have offered an art class for faculty and staff after school... drawing first, then pottery, this time PAINTING! We met for about an hour for 7 or 8 weeks this winter and my "students" learned the basics of color mixing, underpainting, and painting with acrylics. The sizes and subjects of their pieces varied- I suggested that they bring a photo to work from, or choose a painting to copy that they were drawn to. It is fun for me to teach adults, but it also challenges me and teaches me things about my own teaching too. Most of all, I love proving to my friends and colleagues that they CAN do it (art)... everyone can, you know :)
