Symmetrical Name Creatures
Fifth grade boys had a lot of fun with this design project! First, students folded a piece of white paper in half and wrote their name in cursive along the fold (large). They refolded the paper and traced their names onto the other side of the fold, creating a mirror image. With this symmetrical shape, they created unique creatures- turning the loops and lumps of their letters into eyes, mouths, tails, legs and more.
