Jewelry Camp 2010!

The week after school let out, I directed Jewelry Camp for current and incoming Middle Schoolers. Here are some highlights of the pieces we made during the week:
Our first project was a bracelet made of seed beads and safety pins. You basically put four 5mm glass beads on a pin, clamp the pin shut, then string 50 pins on jewelry elastic to create the bracelet:
We also glazed ceramic bisque pendants in all shapes. They were all so different and colorful!
The girls painted and decoupaged small jewelry boxes to keep all of their bobbles:
We all had fun making earrings and charms out of good old fashioned Shrinky Dinks...
Some more bracelets we made out of Twistee Wire and hemp and handmade polymer clay beads:
Fused glass necklaces were a big hit and the results are just beautiful!
One camper completely covered in her handmade BLING!
