I am so excited by the results of the latest Ceramics Club project! Members created unique themed wall clocks out of clay, and yes, they actually work! .jpg)

I would love to do this project with my students in our Art Club. Would you be able to share with me some guidelines you recommend? Such as thickness of the clay and where you purchased your clock mechanics?
ReplyDeleteThank you!
hi there- i only did this project once, four years ago so I have no clue where I bought the parts... somewhere online and they were very basic. I remember that I cut a circle template about the diameter of the circle that the clock hands would rotate, and told kids that the area inside of it had to remain flat/one level. If they built any clay up in the area, the hands would hit them/the movement would be hindered. Otherwise, I don't remember that I had many guidelines for them!
DeleteI realize my response didn't go through the first time. Thank you so much for your reply and advice. I absolutely love your projects and ideas. They are such an inspiration.
